C errorprovider validating

You can use a Windows Forms Error Provider component to display an error icon when the user enters invalid data.

You must have at least two controls on the form in order to tab between them and thereby invoke the validation code.

When the user enters data in the controls which fails validation, a blinking error image is displayed on the form next to the control and the error message is displayed as a tooltip to the error image.

You can display multiple error indications on a form at the same time using the same Error Provider control.

The string specified in the second argument in the function invocation is displayed as the tooltip when the mouse is moved over the Error indicator.

presents a simple mechanism for indicating to the end user that a control on a form has an error associated with it.

If an error description string is specified for the control, an icon appears next to the control. When the mouse hovers over the icon, a Tool Tip appears showing the error description string.

To display the dataset column error, invoke the Set Column Error method of the Error Provider.

You can customize the Error Provider control to set the Blink Rate and Blink Style.
